Recalling My Oldest Memories

Writing about the past is difficult. You have to go deep into your mind and try to find small pieces of moments that are almost gone. That is why keeping a diary is important. It helps save memories before they slowly fade away.
Here are some of my earliest memories from when I was less than five or six years old.
1) My First Rain Memory
One of my first memories is sitting beside my mother near a window. At that time, we were living in Rajshahi. I remember it was a single storied house. There was a small room where we stayed. Behind the window, I could see a pond.
I remember the rain falling outside. I was probably asking my mother some questions, but I do not remember what they were. What I remember clearly is the feeling. The calmness. The sound of the rain. The window. The pond. That quiet moment is still in my mind.
2) My First Travel Experience
I also remember going with my father to see a nearby train line. It was not a long trip, maybe just a short walk, but it felt like a big adventure to me. I remember the railway line and the open space around it. I also remember walking beside my father.
That small trip felt important.
3) The Broken Radio
I once broke a radio. I was curious and wanted to see what would happen if I dropped it from the roof. So I did.
It broke.
And I got punished.
